The San Francisco 49ers have become one of the NFL's most feared and revered teams under coach Jim Harbaugh, using a punishing, disciplined defense and a mistake-free, balanced offense to brand themselves as arguably this season's Super Bowl favorite. Christian Ponder threw two touchdown passes to tight end Kyle Rudolph and ran for another score to help the Vikings beat the 49ers 24-13 on Sunday. After a dominant start to their NFC North tour by decisively beating playoff teams Green Bay and Detroit, the 49ers (2-1) were beaten in every way by the team least likely to do so. The Vikings (2-1) began the game boldly with a fourth-and-goal touchdown pass by Ponder to his favorite target Rudolph. Frank Gore managed only 63 yards on 12 carries and lost a fourth-quarter fumble at midfield. Donte Whitner dropped a sure interception and a potential touchdown a few minutes later after Vikings wide receiver Michael Jenkins slipped on third down. The Vikings went 82 yards in 16 plays to start the game, but Peterson was stonewalled for 1 yard on second-and-goal at the 2 and no gain on third down. With inches to go, Ponder rolled left under pressure by Goldson and threw a floater off his back foot that Rudolph ran down in the corner of the end zone for a 7-0 lead. LB Patrick Willis walked gingerly off the field with an injury to his lower right leg and DT Isaac Sopoaga hurt his lower left leg in the fourth quarter.

Michael Bisping has a fight with Brian Stann at UFC 152 on Saturday night, but before that, he found a fight with a fan who disrupted his workout on Wednesday. He explained why he threw the fan out of the open workouts to MMA Fighting. (The explanation is at the beginning of the video.)

"I was just trying to do my pads and stuff, and the guy's got no respect. He annoyed my boxing coach more than anything. My boxing coach got a little upset. I could see it in his eyes," Bisping said.

"I was trying to get a workout in, and he's just disrupting the whole thing. He's upsetting my boxing coach, and so I'm like, you gotta go. You gotta go. If you can't have respect ... we're here. We're putting on a display for you guys. If you can't respect it, you have to go outside with the naughty children."

During big fight weeks like this one, the UFC will often offer three free events to fans: open workouts, the press conference and weigh-ins. Open workouts are undoubtedly the best option, because it lets fans get close to fighters to take pictures and see how they train.

The fans and media being there make the workouts more casual than a normal pre-fight training session, but it's still a workout. Fighters are cutting weight and thinking about their bout and should get to do that without being heckled. Even someone like Bisping, who loves to jaw with anyone and everyone, deserves to work out without distraction.

Microsoft issues security patches for Flash vulnerabilities in Windows 8 and Internet Explorer

As promised, Microsoft is issuing a security patch for a Flash vulnerability on Windows 8 in Internet Explorer 10. Though the operating system has yet to see its official public release, researchers testing the RTM version found a bug that could cause Flash to crash and allow for attackers to take control of a user's machine. Additionally, the company is rolling out an update to address a security hole in Internet Explorer versions 7 and 8 on Windows XP -- and IE 9 on Windows 7 and Windows Vista -- which left the door open for hackers to spread malware via a specially designed Flash animation. Both security patches are available via Microsoft's Windows Update service.
