What Exactly Is Hydroelectricity?
Electricity is generated in a wide variety of ways, including solar, fossil fuels and hydroelectricity. In general, most of these technologies depend on the same concepts. All of the examples above, except for solar, use something to spin a turbine that then generates energy. Hydroelectric generators do this by running water through the blades of the turbine.
