Financial Freedom: Your Money Or Your Life
If you are working for money - which means you do not love what you do, have passion for it or a sense of mission or contribution - if you are doing in for the income to pay your bills and make a living (instead of fulfilling a dream or mission), you are trading your time for money. Since your time is your life, you are exchanging your life for money - literally. If you are not living your life to the full, you are simply existing, cashing 50 hours per week of your life (220 hours per month) for your monthly pay. You are giving a chunk of your life away in exchange for your salary. You have voluntarily given your life for money, without a gun pointed to your head. Like the businessman in the joke, you have opted to give up your life in order to keep the money. Ultimately, the joke is on us.
